There are four roof stabilisers, two for each end. The roof stabilisers span between the outer hoop and the first intermediate hoop (fig 7a). Roof stabilisers are supplied in 2 pieces; one piece measures 1.9cm long (35/190FP) and is flattened at one end and plain at the opposite end. The second piece measures 45cm long (35/45FS) with one end flattened and swaged on the opposite end.

Slot the two tubes together by placing the swaged end in the plain end. Carefully balance one end on the end hoop. Fit a Q clip (Q50) to the first intermediate hoop near the ridge. Locate the flat end to the Q clip, push a bolt through the hole ensuring the threaded part is on the inside of the polytunnel, screw on a nut and loosely secure in place. Adjust the Q clip (Q50) so it is 5cm to one side of the ridge clamp (R5035) and firmly tighten the nut. Fit another Q clip (Q50) on the end hoop. Locate the second flat end to the Q clip, push a bolt through the hole ensuring that the thread of the bolt is on the inside of the polytunnel and loosely secure in place (fig 7b). Once in position, secure these tubes together using a self-drilling screw (SDS55) with the provided driver socket (DB73946) 4cm from the joint. Finally tighten the nut on the Q clamp on the end hoop (fig 7c).

Repeat this process for the remaining 3 roof stablisers.
